WORLD FANTASY CONVENTION 2026 DEALERS ROOM MERCHANDISE GUIDELINES

We want to help you make your World Fantasy experience enjoyable AND profitable. The focus of the Dealers Room is on books about fantasy and speculative literature. We are especially interested in specialty book dealers, selling books by attending authors, antiquarian, collectible, first editions, related comics/comix and graphic novels, and the like. Your stock should primarily consist of fantasy literature, including dark fantasy, science fiction, horror, speculative fiction, and art-related books.

As a special part of this WFC 2026, our Dealers Room will host a Book Fair, and be open to the public on Sunday, October 25, from 10AM to 5PM. Please take this into consideration when applying for a table.

WHAT CAN BE SOLD IN THE WFC 2026 DEALERS ROOM?

Books. More books. Some more books. Even more books. Oh, there’s more books over here!

(Did we mention books?)

The World Fantasy Convention has a long history of offering a bookman’s bookroom. Early days saw just books carried (oh, to be a shopper in the first WFC bookroom in 1975!), but it’s expanded over the years to carry everything to make a reader, well, read! This includes signed first editions, unsigned first editions, reading copies, hypermoderns, pens and ink, chapbooks, limited collectors boxed sets, biographies, autobiographies, audiobooks, vintage and antiquarian books, SFFH digests, books on tape, mass market paperbacks, trade paperbacks, related ephemera, related art books, related comics/comix, and, of course, books by the attending authors, editors, and artists!

Please note that the following will not be accepted into the Dealers Room:
media such as DVDs / knives or weapons / filk / cosplay items / makeup / clothing and hats / food or drink items / political merchandise of any kind / merchandise unrelated to SFFH /literature (jewelry vendors spots have been filled)

The WFC 2026 supports creators and their intellectual property.
Absolutely no items that are created with or by generative AI will be allowed.

The Dealer Room Liaison and jury reserve the right to require you to remove any of the above merchandise if you set it out for sale at the convention. If you have questions about your stock, please email the Dealer Liaison ahead of time.

As is traditional, the WFC 2026 will be issuing a bookbag with an assortment of titles to each member. To avoid any surplus duplication, a list of donated items will be provided to each book dealer as we receive books; it is at your discretion if you also want to carry these titles.
