- If you participate in California conventions and trade shows, and make sales or take orders for sales at or during the conventions or trade shows, you will be required to hold either an ongoing or temporary seller’s permit.
- For California retailers, you must have, or obtain, an ongoing seller’s permit if you are engaged in the business of selling tangible personal property.
- Out-of-state retailers that exceed specific sales thresholds are required to obtain an ongoing seller’s permit.
- Retailers not exceeding these thresholds are only required to obtain a temporary seller’s permit.
- For more info about these thresholds, please see Pub. 77, Out-of-State Sellers: Do You Need to Register with California?
- You need to enter your Seller’s Permit number on your application, and we will be checking for this document at the time you sign in for unloading on Wednesday morning, so please be sure to have a printed copy of it for verification. We will not accept a phone scan or jpg. Please be sure to keep a copy for your records.
- If you do not have a current and applicable Sellers’ Permit by the time of the WFC 2026 setup on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2026, you will not be allowed to set up in the Dealers Room, and you will have waived your right to a refund for your table fees and membership.
