USING AC TRANSIT OR SF MUNI BUS LINES TO THE OMCC FROM AIRPORTS
While one could take a city bus from any of the three airports to the OMCC, despite being very cheap, traveling on any of those routes would take a looooong time. BART does an admirable job of getting you to the OCMM from all three, so we won’t be detailing bus lines here. Feel free to check each agencies website if you really want to plan your trip using the bus lines.
DO keep these in mind if you want to get around the Bay Area by bus for sightseeing!
- AC Transit: this is for bus lines only.
- SF MUNI: this encompasses buses, light rail Metro trains, historic streetcars along Market Street and the Embarcadero, and the iconic cable cars.
- Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA); San Jose and its surrounding cities; this encompasses bus, light rail, and paratransit services.
SAN FRANCISCO FERRY TO OAKLAND (AND BACK AGAIN!)
The SF Bay Ferry is a fun way to get from Jack London Square in Oakland, to the Ferry Building in San Francisco, at the Embarcadero. We’ll leave it to you to plan your trip, but here’s their website https://sanfranciscobayferry.com/terminal/oakland-ferry-terminal/
Tip: It’s a great ride at sunset — there’s even a bar and snacks available!
